Music

What music should be played ?

Depressing? Dull? Dirge?  These are some words you may associate with funeral music and whilst, in many instances, the mood and music are indeed sombre, this doesn't always have to be the case.

From Elgar to Elvis, Bach to Beyoncé and Strauss to Sinatra, the choice is yours.

People often have ideas about what they would like to be played at the ceremony but worry it might be too 'cheery' or 'upbeat' or appear to be disrespectful.

The choice of music is often one of the most personal touches in a funeral ceremony so don't be afraid to explore and choose in a way that accurately reflects your loved one.

It was Hans Christian Andersen who said "Where words fail, music speaks".

Sometimes, words just aren't enough.
